My Story…

Hi, I am James and I live just outside Norwich, in the UK with my wonderful family.

I have always been that ‘Second in Command’, ‘Chief Operating Officer’, type guy, helping organisations and individuals realise their visions, making sure progress is made and stuff gets done!

I am a committed Christian, who is passionate about discipleship, wanting to stand alongside, encourage and help others to fulfil their calling whether in the church, workplace or local community.

For the last 15 years, I have navigated life with a Chronic illness (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) which has brought some tough realities and limitations on my time and energy. But it has also pushed me to seek out the most effective strategies and tools to live the most ‘fruitful’ life I can.

My coaching combines all these facets, as I aim to walk alongside individuals and teams, strategically helping them to clarify their call, cultivate their care and channel their creativity so they do what matters most.

Working Life…

Prior to starting Fruitful Being, I was the Head of Operations at Relational Mission, a growing family of some 70 churches and young church plants mostly in the UK and Mainland Europe. I worked in this role for 7 years having previously run my own consultancy business, helping charities in their organisational development.

I have a background in project management, business strategy and funding and have developed and delivered many European Union funded regeneration projects bringing change to communities and prosperity to areas of deprivation in the UK. I have also been a Company Secretary and Trustee to a number of charities, advising on governance, finance and risk management practises.

Overall I have over 25+ years experience working in & with charity, private and public sector organisations including Aylsham Community Church (Leadership Team, Trustee), Breckland Council (programme management and economic development), WREN (operations and project management), Norwich Union (management accounting) and Ernst & Young (business analyst/auditing).
