Why do I need to find or create a rhythm to my life?
Recently the 400 meter hurdles world record for men was broken, some 29 years after the last record was set (congrats @kwarholm). The thing that fascinates me about this event is that it is a great example of where rhythm is in many ways more important than speed. You have to keep to a certain stride pattern in between the hurdles. If you go as fast as you can and break the pattern, you will simply clatter the hurdles.
Fruitfulness in life requires us to find a similar rhythm and stride pattern. So often we spend our time running and ‘hurrying’ as fast as we can to get things done and finish the race. Yet we end up clattering a life hurdle, that can subsequently put us out of the race.
How is your stride pattern? Do you need to find a different rhythm?
